Julian James White Liqueur
If there was one word that summed up the art of fortified wine it would have to be ‘blending’. In this case, the blending of varieties and the blending of individual vintages from 1969.
This White Liqueur is a blend of Pedro Ximenes and Verdelho picked at the semi-raisin stage.
The 3 varieties are hand picked and processed separately and allowed to clarify for 12 months prior to blending and ageing in small old oak casks. Ageing this style medium term creates these unique aged nutty aromas, with layers of raisin and light toffee.
Achieving freshness and balance is the key to any wine. These aged after-dinner liqueurs are no exception. Flavours of honey, caramel and raisin fill the palate, finishing rich and smooth.
